Evangeline Kivett Parks, 90, of Ramseur, died Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at her residence.

Graveside Services, 11 AM, Saturday, at Parks Crossroads Christian Church, Ramseur.

Officiating, Rev. Ransom Love, Rev. Randy Kelley, Rev. Gary Mason.

Evangeline was a native and longtime resident of Randolph County. She was a graduate of Franklinville High School and worked as a Library Technician for the Randolph County Public Library and as Teaching Assistant at Franklinville School before retirement. Evangeline was a member of Parks Crossroads Christian Church where she was a member of Women's Missionary Society and worked with the children at Vacation Bible School. She loved to go on the Church bus trips and spending time with her church family. Evangeline enjoyed reading and participated in a book club. She also loved art, especially painting, for her family and friends. Evangeline was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend that will be remembered and missed by all. Evangeline was preceded in death by her husband, Don Gordon Parks, her parents, Thomas Jefferson and Ruth Cheek Kivett.

Survivors: daughter, Linda D. Parks, of Mt. Airy, son, David C.Parks, and wife, Carolyn, of Ramseur, sister, Wanda Palmer, and husband, Gary, of Asheboro, brothers, James Thomas Kivett, and wife, Charlotte, of Franklinville, Terry Kivett, and wife, Iris, of Asheboro, grandchildren, Seth Parks, and wife, Teresa, of Ramseur, Lindsay Hylton, and husband, Matthew, of Salem, VA., great-grandchildren, Brandon Parks, Emily Parks, Joshua Parks, Makala Parks, Eli Hylton, Ethan Hylton, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
