Evangeline Gann Brown, 93, of Cross Road Retirement Community, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022.
Funeral Services, 2 PM, Friday, March 18, 2022, at Union Grove Christian Church, Asheboro.
Officiating, Rev. Scott Kidd, Rev. Garry Reeder.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Evangeline was a native of Stokes County and a longtime resident of Asheboro. She was a 1944 graduate of Seagrove High School and a graduate of Commercial College of Asheboro. She worked in various clerical positions for several years. Evangeline helped her husband operate the farm for 28 years and retired from Luck's. She was a member of Union Grove Christian Church where she was President of the Women's Fellowship. Evangeline was preceded in death by her husband, James Clinton Brown, parents, Elias Carr and Mattie Martin Gann, brothers, Elias Foy Gann and Frank Carr Gann.
Survivors: daughters, Beverly Haithcox, husband, Joe, of Asheboro, Myrna Brown, of Belmont, step-daughter, Joanne McNeill and husband, Ray, of Haines City, FL., step-son, Bruce Brown, of Asheboro, grandchildren, Keith Haithcox and wife, Lori, of Pinebluff, Natalie H. Lange and husband, Jason, of Alabaster, Al., step-grandchildren, Mark McNeill and wife, Deena, Tim McNeill and wife, Mary, RaeAnne M. Grieco and husband, Matt, Lorrie Lowe and husband, Page, Becky Hayes and husband, Jeff, great-grandchildren, James P. Haithcox and Briggs A. Lange, seven step-great-grandchildren, seven step-great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation, 6 PM to 8 PM, Thursday, Loflin Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ramseur and other times at the home of Beverly and Joe Haithcox.
