Elner "Bill" Shaw Brown, 94, of Ramseur, died Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home in Asheboro.

Funeral Services, 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at Ramseur Wesleyan Church.

Officiating, Rev. Jason Baker, Rev. Roland Cavanaugh.

Burial, Sunset Knoll Cemetery, Ramseur.

Elner was born in Chatham County and was a longtime resident of Ramseur. She retired from Burlington Industries and was a member of the Ramseur Wesleyan Church. Elner was preceded in death by her first husband, Daniel Ewing Shaw Jr., second husband, Vernon Brown, son, Ronald Lee Shaw, mother, Evie Light and step-father, J.R. Light, grandparents, John and Martha Stanley, sister, Nancy Craven, and brother, John Roy Light, Jr.

Survivors: daughter, Nancy Lawson, and husband, Ralph, of Ramseur, son, Danny Shaw, and wife, Jane, of Ramseur, grandchildren, Cheryl Ollis, and husband, Tommy, Angela Delli Colli, and husband, Jim, Tara Burgess, and husband, Anthony, Dana Collins, and husband Mike, Chad Lawson, and wife Shannon, seven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, step-son, Terry Lee Brown, of Siler City.

Visitation, 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Wednesday, Ramseur Wesleyan Church.
