Eddie Wayne Martin, 76, of Siler City, died Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Cone Health Alamance Regional in Burlington.

Graveside Services, 2 PM, Saturday, October 17, 2020, at Gees Grove AME Zion Church, 245 Gees Grove Rd., Siler City, NC.

Officiating, Pastor Michael White, Rev. Victor Womack.

Eddie was a native of Chatham County and a lifelong resident of Siler City. He was a 1963 graduate of Chatham High School and worked as a carpenter. Eddie loved to fish and play his guitar, but his favorite things to do were listening to Elvis Presley songs, and watching westerns on television. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Taylor Martin, his son, Eddie Christopher Martin, his parents, Wade and Mary Jo White Martin, sister Annie Jean Martin White and brother, Roy Martin.

Survivors: daughters, Tammie Martin Miller, of Whitsett, Laura Martin Sanders, of Pittsboro, Cynthia Martin Anderson, of Pittsboro, sisters, Wilma Martin Robinson, of Siler City, Judy Martin Currie, of Durham, Mary Martin Scotton, of Durham, brothers, Lennis Martin, of Siler City, Kelly Martin, of Willow Springs, nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a host of other family loved ones and special niece, Jackie Martin Headen.

The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Piedmont Health Senior Care.

The body will lie in state from Noon until 5 PM on Friday, October 16th at the Loflin Funeral Home.
