Donald Lee Mitchell, of Asheboro, died Friday, November 29, 2019 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.

Memorial Services, 3 PM, Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at Franklinville United Methodist Church, Franklinville.

Officiating, Rev. Chris West, Rev. Harold Hammond.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Donald was a native of Guilford County and a longtime resident of Franklinville. He served in the North Carolina National Guard, and was employed by the North Carolina Department of Transportation as an engineer. He was a member of the Franklinville United Methodist Church, the Lions Club, and the Franklinville Fire Department.  Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita M. Mitchell, parents, Paul and Bonnie G. Mitchell, brother, Max Mitchell, sister, Doris Heath.

Survivors: sons, Pat Mitchell, and wife, Brenda, of Randleman, Mike Mitchell, and wife, Darlene, of Franklinville, Danny Mitchell, of Snow Camp, Tim Mitchell, and wife, Cindy, of Liberty, sister, Jean Hinkle, of Charlotte, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.

The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Randolph Hospice House for their loving care for Donald.

Visitation, 1:30 PM to 3 PM, Wednesday, Franklinville United Methodist Church, Franklinville and other times at the residence.
