Dempsey Kinney Obituary

Dempsey T. Kinney, 94, of Franklinville, died Friday, October 20, 2023 at Genesis Healthcare in Siler City.

A private Celebration of Life Service will be held by the family at a future date.

Dempsey was a native and lifelong resident of Randolph County. He was previously employed as Assistant Manager with Moores Building Supply and was a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in Naval Intelligence at the Pentagon. Dempsey is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Laura Dixon Kinney, brothers, Clay and Wayne Kinney, and grandson, Steven Michael Kinney.

Survivors: daughters, Lynn K. Kordek, of Statesville, Amy K. Roeder, of Mooresville, grandchildren, Timothy C. Fox, Zachary Kinney, Zoe Hambley, great-grandchildren, Layton Fox, Grayson Fox, Colin Kinney, Cameron Kinney, Christian Kinney, companion, Shelia Bowman.
