Clyde Richard Ore, 82, of Staley, died Friday, December 31, 2021 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.
Graveside Services, 3 PM, Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Staley Cemetery, Staley with Military Honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
Officiating, Rev. Willie Pickard.
Clyde was a native of Guilford County and a longtime resident of Randolph County. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Clyde grew up working on the family farm until he joined the army and serving in Germany. Although he worked in furniture, he was a man of many talents including drawing, whittling, rebuilding motors, and building airplanes. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Poole Ore, his parents, Clyde and Primmie Merritt Ore, and brothers, Elbert Ore and Leonard Ore.
Survivors: daughter, Janice Bradford, and husband, Skip, of Randleman, sons, Brian Presnell, and wife, Jamie, of Ramseur, Ricky Ore, of Liberty, sisters, Louise Pickard, of Liberty, Bobbie Gaines, of Goldston, Edna Hales, of Greensboro, Betty Caviness, and husband, Paul, of Staley, brothers, Jimmy Ore, of Staley, Tim Ore, of Snow Camp, grandchildren, Josh Sheffield, whom he raised as his own, and wife, Ashley, Breanna Walls, Gracie, Allie, and Levi Presnell, Nick and Benjamin Pearn, Roycie Heitzenreiter, three great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and his faithful "fur baby", Tucker.
The family will receive friends at the home of Janice and Skip Bradford.
The body will lie in repose on Monday, January 3rd from noon until 5 PM at the Loflin Funeral Home.
