Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Cheryl Isley passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Moses Cone Hospital, with family members by her side, after battling a sudden viral illness for over five weeks. She retired from Carolina Farmers Mutual Insurance in 2021. Cheryl was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church where she was pianist for many years and was loved by her church family and by friends all around the state. She was a resident of Ramseur her entire life. Her family and friends will miss her musical talents, her quiet spirit, and her love for the Lord. She was so happy with her new title of Grandma, and she loved spending time with her grandson and her daughter, singing with her "Moffitt Sisters," camping, shopping, adventures with her husband, and many trips to Holden Beach. Cheryl was preceded in death by mother, Betty Brown Moffitt and father, Graham Blaine Moffitt.
Survivors: husband, Ray Isley, of the home, daughter, Jill Isley Parker and husband, Cameron Parker, grandson, Henry Parker, son, Stevie Isley, sisters, Cindee Moffitt Stout and husband, Michael Stout, Carol Ann Moffitt Cox and husband, Tommy O. Cox, nieces, Mollee Stout, Meghan Stout and husband, Brandon Mays, Marilyn Everhart and husband, Parks Everhart, Erin Cox, Kari Cox, mother-in-law, Lillie W. Isley, of Ramseur and sisters-in-law, Betty Cox and husband, Greg, of Ramseur, Alice Chastain, of California.
Cheryl's family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Moses Cone Hospital for the excellent care given during her illness. The family would also like to thank everyone for cards, visits, food, and most of all PRAYERS during this time, and would like to remind everyone that God is good ALL the time.
