Billy Joe Allen, 43, of Bennett, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023 at his residence.
Funeral Services, 11 AM, Friday, March 3, 2023, at Loflin Funeral Home Chapel, Ramseur.

Billy was a native and lifelong resident of Bennett and a graduate of Eastern Randolph High School. He was a Commercial Superintendent/Project Manager at McRae Roofing, which was more than a job to him. McRae Roofing was family. Billy loved life and lived every day to the fullest. His passion was building and welding cars, trucks, motorcycles and RZR’s. Billy's vehicle customizations were featured in numerous magazines and he loved going riding on the weekends with his son, Garrett, and his wife, Sara.
He was kindhearted, loyal, and a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Billy had the biggest heart, and was quick to offer a helping hand to those in need. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph “Joe” Ray Allen and Thelma Vera Chriscoe Allen, and grandparents Samuel Burns Allen and Wilma Jean Epperson Allen.
Billy is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Sara Elizabeth Hodgin Allen, his son and best friend, Garrett Samuel Allen, caring and supportive mom, Bonnie Victoria Smyre Allen, siblings: Rhonda Allen McCanless (Eck), Tommy Lee Allen (Kimberly), Jennifer Nicole Allen Carter, (Chris), “mama” Jennifer Pridgen, his grandparents, James Everette Chriscoe and Faye Keeling Chriscoe, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
The family will receive friends from 12 PM to 5 PM, Thursday, March 2, 2023 at the Loflin Funeral Home in Ramseur.
