Betty Jo Lindley Penkava, 73, of Asheboro, died peacefully in the arms of her husband on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.
Private Family Funeral Services will be held at Loflin Funeral Home Chapel, Ramseur.
Officiating, Wyatt Ciesielka.
Burial, Franklinville United Methodist Church, Franklinville.
Mrs. Penkava was born in Asheboro on March 14, 1947, the daughter of J. D. Lindley and Helen Nance Lindley and was raised in Franklinville, NC, graduating from Franklinville High School in 1965. She was a homemaker, raising sons Eric Louis Penkava, Alex Trent Penkava and Jason Parks Penkava. Betty was a longtime member of Living Church of God and enjoyed participating in many activities and worshiping with her friends in the congregation. She loved her Lord and Savior, and enjoyed helping others. She also lovingly adored her grandchildren and enjoyed time at the beach. She was known for her enduring smile and laughter. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her son, Jason Parks Penkava.
Survivors: husband of 57 years, David Penkava, of the home, sons, Eric Louis Penkava (Sonya) and Alex Trent Penkava, grandchildren, David Pierce, Locksea Penkava, Lila Penkava, Lasea Penkava and Emma Penkava.
The family will be at the residence.
