Betty Ward Henderson

Betty Ward Henderson, 73, of High Point, died Sunday, July 19, 2020 at Pine Ridge Nursing Home in Thomasville.

Memorial Services, 4 PM, Sunday, July 26, 2020, at Floral Garden Park Cemetery, High Point.

Betty was a native of Guilford County and a longtime resident of High Point. She was employed as an inspector in the furniture industry and also with Randleman Child Care. Betty attended Whites Memorial  Baptist Church were she taught Sunday School and she cared for the children of the church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was loved deeply by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Buddy" Thurman Atkins, her parents, Frank and Gertrude Rothrock Ward, sister, Naomi Naylor, and brother, Randall Lee Ward.

Survivors: sons, Robbie Atkins, and wife, Amanda, of High Point, Shane Atkins, sister, Carolyn R. Ward, of High Point, grandchildren, David Alderman, Tiffany Westminster, one step grandchild, Zack Sexton.
