Athene Ashley Gray, 89, of Franklinville, died Monday, December 10, 2018 at Universal Healthcare in Ramseur.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the residence on Saturday December 15 at 2:00 PM.
Athene was a native of Winchester, Tennessee and lived most of her life in Franklinville. She was of the Baptist faith, a hardworking homemaker who loved her family unconditionally. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Dean Gray, her son, Ronnie Carter, her parents, James and Stella Ashley, three sisters and two brothers.
Survivors: daughters, Tabitha Cook and husband, Todd, of Franklinville, Vicki Carter, of Huntsville, Alabama, Phyllis Rutledge, of Meridianville, Alabama, Janice Thomas, of Birmingham, Alabama , son, Jerry Gray, Jr. and wife, Holly, of Asheboro, sisters, Kelline Hudson, of Climax, Linda Odum, of Danville, Virginia,, brothers, J. W. Ashley, of Huntsville, Alabama, Grover Ashley, of Tennessee, step-daughter, Paula Emerick, husband Duwayne, of Lewes, Delaware, nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.
