Annie Ethelene Caviness Comer, 96, of Robbins, died Sunday, September 13, 2020 at Autumn Care of Biscoe in Biscoe.
Funeral Services, 3PM, Friday, at Beulah Baptist Church, Bennett. In order to protect everyone's health and safety, the family requests that all attendees to the service wear face masks and practice social distancing.

Ethelene was a native of Moore County and longtime resident of Caviness Town. She was a lifelong member of Beulah Baptist Church where she was a choir member for many years and was the oldest member at the time of her passing. Ethelene was known for her beautiful flowers and vegetable gardens which she loved to share with the community. Her love of roses was renowned and she grew them prolifically. She was also known for her "old fashioned cooking" which included pound cakes, fried apple pies and cobblers, and her milk gravy and ham biscuits. Sunday nights after church, Ted and Ethelene would have get togethers at their home where they would treat family and friends to their famous popcorn. Ethelene was preceded in death by her husband, Ted E. Comer, sons, Jimmy and Dean Comer, son-in-law, Charles Garner, and parents, Terrell "Dink", and Florence Williams Caviness, and by her 15 siblings.
Survivors: daughters, Joyce Comer Garner, of Bennett, Judy Comer Clendenin, and husband, Albert, of Robbins, daughter-in-law, Sheryl Comer, of Robbins, grandchildren, Chris Garner, and wife, Debbie, of Robbins, Teresa Dunn, and husband, Eric, of Star, Natalie Boles, husband, Travis, of San Diego, CA, Morgan Evans, and husband, Matt, of Statesville, Worth Comer, and wife, Jenny, of Bennett, Caroline Lewis, and husband, Mark, of Mebane, Trey Clendenin, and wife, Whitney, of Bennett, Victoria Albright, and husband, Spence, of Woodbridge, VA, great-grandchildren, Shelby Maness, Jacob Garner, Alyssa Dunn, Cierra McDonald, Makayla McDonald, Celeste Boles, Ellie, Wesley, and Eliza Comer, Charlotte, Will, and Annie Lewis, Jude, Lucas, and Ivy Clendenin, Aubrey Albright.
The body will lie in state from noon until 5 PM on Thursday, September 17th at the Loflin Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ramseur.
