Alwyn "Mickey" Currin, 74, of Ramseur, died Sunday, January 23, 2022 at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton.

Mickey was a native of Vance County and a longtime resident of Randolph County. He was previously employed as a master mechanic for 35 plus years with Ramtex, Inc. and retired from Walmart in Asheboro. Mickey attended Crestview Wesleyan Church. Mickey was preceded in death by his son, Phillip Ray Chavis, parents, John Lewis and Abney Thomas Currin, and sister, Judy Davis.
Survivors: wife, Anna Jane Locklear Currin, of the home, daughters, Sarah York, and husband, Tim, of Siler City, Amanda Chavis, of Randleman, Kim Chavis, of Ramseur, Melisa Chavis Graham, of Ramseur, sons, J.D. Currin, and wife, Angie, of Asheboro, Dustin Chavis, and wife, Meshia, of Ramseur, brother, Kinchum Currin, of Sophia, thirteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren.
