Wayne Douglas Burgess

Wayne Douglas Burgess, 72, of Ramseur, died Monday, July 15, 2019 at Clapps Convalescent Nursing Home in Asheboro.

Wayne was a lifelong resident of Ramseur and a 1965 graduate of Ramseur High School. He retired as a lifelong electrical superintendent. Wayne had a positive outlook on life and a great sense of humor. He loved for everyone around him to laugh. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Wrenn Burgess and Lydia Brown Smith.

Survivors: daughter, Kelly Halloran, and husband, Sean, of  West Chester, OH, son, Scott Burgess, of Las Vegas, NV, grandchildren, Seth Halloran, Avery Halloran, Jason Burgess, Brianna Burgess.

Visitation, 6 PM to 8 PM, Friday, July 19, 2019, Loflin Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ramseur.
