Viola McNeill Hayes, 84, of 6277 Bennett Road, Seagrove, died Friday, June 15, 2018 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.

Funeral Services, 4:00 PM, Sunday, June 17, 2018, at Antioch Christian Church, Seagrove.

Officiating, Rev. Bryan Maness, Rev. Howard McNeill.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Viola was a native of Moore County, a 1951 graduate of Westmore School, and a faithful member of Antioch Christian Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher and member of WMU.  She was a loving wife for 64 years, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Viola was a member of the Eastern Star and was a homemaker and worked on the farm. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harrison and Flossie McNeill, sisters, Rona Brown, Cleadell Williamson, Clara Mae Cox, brothers, Harvey McNeill, Lloyd McNeill, Dewey McNeill, and Herman McNeill.

Survivors: husband, Lendis Hayes, of the home, daughter, Sylvia Davis, and husband Rodney, of Asheboro, sons, Tim Hayes, and wife Donna, of Asheboro, Joe Hayes, and wife Edna, of Asheboro, Steve Hayes, and wife Suzanne, of Seagrove, sisters, Betty Maness, and husband Bobby, of Seagrove, Rachel Bouldin, of Asheboro, Myrtle Comer, and husband J.C. of Seagrove, brothers, Roy McNeill, and wife Ruth of Seagrove, grandchildren, Shaun Hayes, and wife Maria, Zach Hayes, and wife Lindsey, Eric Hayes, and wife Stephanie, Eli Hayes, Micaela Hayes, and Mallory Hayes, great-grandchildren, Arthur Hayes, Alexander Hayes, Liam Hayes.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Betty Brewer for all of her loving care during Mom's decline.
