Vernon "V.C." Carl Bowman, Sr., 83, of Liberty, died Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Siler City Center.

Funeral Services, 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 15, 2019, at Whites Chapel United Methodist Church, Liberty.

Officiating, Rev. Tim Pheagin, Rev. Ken Lyon.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

V.C. was a native of Jacksonville, FL and a longtime resident of Liberty. He was a 1953 graduate of Seagrove High School and was a former supervisor at Ramtex.  V.C. was a member of Whites Chapel United Methodist Church.  V.C. was preceded in death by his loving wife, Martha York Bowman, parents, Rietzel and Georgia Hancock Bowman, sister, Dorothy Gray, brothers, Howard Bowman, Cecil Bowman, and Arthur Ray Bowman.

Survivors: sons, Vernon Bowman Jr., and wife, Teresa, of Asheboro, Mickey Bowman, and wife, Shelly, of Staley, sisters, Lula Mae Bowman, of Asheboro, Merle Veasey, of Florence, SC, grandchildren, Joey Bowman and wife, Kelly, of Staley, Josh Bowman and wife, Amber, of Staley, Jarod Bowman and wife, Rachel, of Asheboro, James Bowman and wife, Rachel, of Asheboro, Daniel Bowman, of Liberty, Derrick Bowman and wife, Samantha, of Denton.

Visitation, 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Sunday, Whites Chapel United Methodist Church, Liberty.
