Travis Reed Delp, 54, of Asheboro, entered his Heavenly home on Friday, September 22, 2017 at his residence after a long battle with cancer.
Funeral Services, 6:00 PM, Sunday, September 24, 2017, at Moon's Chapel Baptist Church, Siler City.
Officiating, Dr. Patrick Fuller, Rev. Jason Buton, Rev. Scott Faw, Rev. Garry Reeder.
A graveside committal service will be held on Monday, September 25, 2017 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton, WV at 4:00 PM with Rev. Wes Lambert and Dr. Patrick Fuller officiating.
Travis was born in New Mexico and grew up in Princeton, West Virginia where he graduated from high school in 1981. He attended Concord University in Athens, West Virginia. For the last 23 years, Travis was employed by Evonik, Inc. of Greensboro. He has been a resident of Asheboro and Randolph County for 25 years. Travis was a faithful member of Moon's Chapel Baptist Church in Siler City, NC where he served as a deacon and childrens church teacher. He also loved to serve and transport senior adults as a personal ministry. He loved to hunt, fish, and spend quality time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father, the late Dillard T. Delp, his brother, the late Alan T. Delp and his father in law, the late Roy Poe.
Survivors: wife of 34 years, Pamela Poe Delp, of the home, daughter, Angela Boone, and husband, Michael, of Siler City, mother, Esther M. Delp-Pishree, of Harmony, NC, brother, Brad A. Delp, and wife, DeAnna, of Shady Spring, WV, grandchildren, Emorie Daye Boone, Aubrey Reed Boone, both of Siler City , mother-in-law, Vangie Poe, of Bluefield, WV, sister and brothers in law, several nieces and nephews, and special nephews.
The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
