Thelma Martindale Jessup passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017 after a long hard battle with Alzheimer's. Alzheimer's took away her memories but, was never able to steal her soul. She loved babies, peppermint, purple, flowers and getting fluffy up to the very last day.

She enjoyed being outside, working with flowers and being on her swing. She could sit on the swing and throw the balls for the dogs for hours. Thelma was very proud to be from High Falls. She lived with her daughter for the past several years but was always glad to tell everyone she was from Moore County and High Falls.

She was preceded in death by her husband Raeford Boyd Jessup. They were married for almost fifty years. Together, they ran Jessup's Grill for many years before she went on to retire from Ramtex in Ramseur. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Julia Martindale, sister, Beulah Martindale, Sadie Whitesell, Annie Ruth Crabtree and brother, Russell Martindale.

She is survived by daughter,  Raylene Jessup, Selma, son, Alan Jessup, Wilson, daughter, Ro-Jan Williams, and husband, Wesley, granddaughters, Alexandra and Julie, Carthage and many fur babies, including her special dog Doddle Bug.

Visitation, 6 PM to 8 PM, Saturday, Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur.

Funeral Services, 3 PM, Sunday, December 17, 2017, at Loflin Funeral Home Chapel, Ramseur.

Officiating, Rev. Billy Joe Brady.

Burial, High Falls Wesleyan Church, High Falls.
