Tamara York Lafferty, 48, of Staley, died Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.

Funeral Services, 3:00 PM, Sunday, April 21, 2019, at First Christian Church, Ramseur.

Officiating, Rev. Garry Arnett, Rev. Gary Moger.

Burial, Pleasant Cross Christian Church, Asheboro.

Tamara was a native of Randolph County and a member of First Christian Church in Ramseur.  She was a 1988 graduate of Faith Christian School and a 1994 graduate of UNC at Greensboro. Tamara was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, and was protective of her family and friends.  She was a talented and caring teacher with Randolph County Schools for sixteen years. Tamara was also an avid reader and an avid walker during which time she spent talking with her Lord.

Survivors: husband, Donnie Lafferty II, of the home, sons, Grant E. Lafferty, Brent K. Lafferty, both of the home, parents, Kenneth and Ersell Shane York, of Ramseur, sister, Kena Y. Langley, and husband, Travis, of Staley, brother, Larry Wayne York, and wife, Jennifer, of Asheboro, nieces, Kayla Langley, Kensley York, nephews, Luke Langley, Austin York.

Visitation, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday, Loflin Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ramseur and other times at the home of parents, Kenny & Ersell York, 1005 Patterson Grove Road, Ramseur.
