Ruth Chriscoe Cox, 77, of 3079 Tommy Cox Rd., Ramseur, died Friday, May 4, 2018 at her residence.

Funeral Services, 7:00 PM, Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at Richland Baptist Church, Asheboro.

Officiating, Rev. Tommy Smith.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Ruth was a native of Chatham County, a member of Richland Baptist Church, and worked as a beautician. She was a dedicated wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a friend to many. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Glenn Cox, her parents, Clifford and Sylvia Kearns Chriscoe, brothers, Albert Vernon Chriscoe, Kirby Allen Chriscoe, Larry Raeford Chriscoe, Luke Chriscoe, Denny Lewis Chriscoe.

Survivors: daughter, Gina Woods, and husband, Karl, of Springfield, VA, sons, Jeffery Cox, of Asheboro, Jody Shane Cox, and wife, Darlene, of Seagrove, sisters, Elsie C. Johnson, of Seagrove, Ernestine Grace Chriscoe, of West Jefferson, brothers, Colon Harold Chriscoe, Roy Lee Chriscoe, Gurney Wayne Chriscoe, Burnis Maxton Chriscoe, all of Seagrove, grandchildren, Shonnia Paul, and husband, Kevin, Samantha Cox, Cory Woods, Casey Woods, Cameron Woods, Josiah Cox, Charissa Cox, great-grandchildren, McKayla Paul, McKenzie Paul, Connor Brown, Chandler Brown.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Elsie Johnson who dedicated herself to the care of our mother during the months leading up to her passing.
