Richard Earl Duggins, 73, of Asheboro, died Thursday, June 15, 2017 at his residence.

Funeral Services, 3:00 PM, Monday, June 19, 2017, at First Baptist Church of Ramseur with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.

Officiating, Rev. Wayne Dunn, Rev. Danny Vuncannon.

Burial, Sunset Knoll Cemetery, Ramseur.

Richard was a native of Randolph County, retired from Galey & Lord as a computer programmer analyst and of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force, had his private pilot license, loved wood working and enjoyed playing the guitar. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Edgar and Marie Williamson Duggins.

Survivors: wife, Betty Poindexter Duggins, of the home, son, Jody Duggins, and wife, Beth, of Selma, brother, Randy Edgar Duggins, of Climax, grandchildren, William Duggins, Jack Duggins.

Visitation, 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Monday, First Baptist Church of Ramseur and other times at the residence.
