Rev. Robert "Bob" Davis Purvis, 84, of Bennett, died Friday, July 13, 2018 at NC State Veterans Home in Fayetteville.

Funeral Services, 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at Beulah Baptist Church, Bennett.

Officiating, Rev. Robert Kidd, Rev. Phillip Nelson.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.

Rev. Purvis was a native of Randolph County, a teacher with public schools, and served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Wilson Purvis, parents, William and Addie Kidd Purvis, son, Steve Purvis, brother, Vernon Purvis, sister, Pauline Williams.

Survivors: daughter, Sharon Scott and husband, Charles, of High Falls, son, Greg Purvis, of Emerald Isle, grandchildren, Matthew Scott, and wife, Stacey, Jenna Maness, and husband, Brad, Will Purvis, Halle Purvis, Kelly Daniel, and husband, Trey, Emily Parker, and husband, William, Michael Purvis, and wife, Cathy, great-grandchildren, Tyler Scott, Courtney Burton , daughter in-laws, Beverly Purvis, Melanie Purvis, special friend, Carol Thomas.

Visitation, 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Tuesday, Beulah Baptist Church, Bennett and other times at the home of Sharon Scott, 719 Two Mile Circle Rd., Robbins.
