Obituary

Ralph McFarland Smith, 85, of Liberty, died Sunday, December 8, 2019 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.

Graveside Services, 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Staley.

Officiating, Rev. Jimmy Austin.

Ralph was a native of Randolph County, a retired rural mail carrier, and a member of American Legion. He served his country as a veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Vickrey Smith, parents, Elvin and Maude Jordan Smith.

Survivors: daughter, Mitzi Wilson, and husband, Dana, of Cumming, GA, son, Mickey Smith, and wife, Tammy, of Liberty, brother, Herbert Smith, of New Bern, four grandchildren, Brittany Groseclose, and husband, Graham, Annie Smith, Hannah Wilson, Shane Wilson, sisters-in-law, Carolyn Vickrey, of Liberty, Sue Garner, and husband, W.T., of Liberty, Midge Vickrey, of Liberty, brothers-in-law, Larry Vickrey, and wife, Deanna, of Liberty, Ronnie Vickrey, and wife, Glenda, of Myrtle Beach, SC.

Visitation, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, Loflin Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ramseur.
