Mildred Maness Jones, 96, of 2499 NC Hwy 22-42, Bennett, died Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Peak Resources-Pinelake in Carthage.

Funeral Services, 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 12, 2019, at Bennett Baptist Church, Bennett.

Officiating, Rev. Tim Strider.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mildred was a native of Moore County, graduated from Elise Academy, May 7, 1940 and enjoyed cooking and writing about family history. She was the retired owner and operator of Jones Jewelers for 22 years in Robbins. Mildred was a member of the Bennett Baptist Church where she was a member of the church choir for 50 years and also participated in the morning prayer group.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Wilbert Jones, daughter, Mary Ann Jones Murray, parents, John and Mary Lee Williams Maness, daughter-in-law, Kaye Bray Jones.

Survivors: daughter, Marjorie Maness, and husband, Wayne, of Bennett, sons, Richard Jones, and wife, Wanda, of Ramseur, Rodger Jones, of Bear Creek, grandchildren, Matthew Maness, and wife, Christy, of High Falls, Travis Murray, and wife, Misty, Jennifer Moody, of Bennett, Kara Oldham, and husband, Bobby, Keenan Jones, and wife, Deanna, Ryan Jones, and wife, Gina, all of Bear Creek, great-grandchildren, Logan Maness, Jayce Maness, Maisy Moody, Will Jones, Madison Jones, Emma Jones, Leah Jones, Olivia Jones, Ian Jones, Katherine Grace Oldham, Caleb Oldham, Karsyn Oldham.

Visitation, 6 PM to 8 PM, Friday, Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur and other times at the residence.
