Maxton was a native of Guilford County, retired from Martin Marietta Quarry and attended Community Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Kay Powers Wall, son, Gary Eugene Wall and parents, Troy and Nannie Mae Lewis Wall.
Survivors: son, Jerry Michael Wall, of High Point, sisters, Doris Ann Medlin, of Level Cross, Jackie Hoffman, of Greensboro, brothers, Wayne Wall, of Asheboro, John Wall, of Greensboro, grandchildren, Lauren Wall, Hanna Wall.
