Luet Richardson Cranford, 97, of Ramseur, made her journey to "that land beyond the river, they call the sweet forever" on Sunday, April 21, 2019 while at Universal Health Care in Ramseur.

Luet was a native of Randolph County and a 1940 graduate of Ramseur High School. She was employed and retired from Burlington Industries in Ramseur, as well as the Randolph County Department of Social Services. Luet was a lifelong member of Ramseur Wesleyan Church where she was formerly a Sunday School teacher and choir member. Her faith was constant as it applied to her everyday life as stated in Matthew 25:23, "Well done thou good and faithful servant." She was preceded in death by her husband, Carson "Junior" Cranford, parents, Lucian and Manie Craven Richardson, sisters, Jeanette Gatlin, Helena McCorquodale, Charlene Lyerly, Jesse Fellows, Jo Ann Trogdon, and brother, John Lewis Richardson.
Survivors: sons, Tim Cranford, of Ramseur, Ronnie Cranford, and wife, Jane, of Ramseur, grandchildren, Ronda Cranford, and husband, Jay McGhee, of Greensboro, Reed Cranford, and wife, April, great-granddaughters, River and Haven Cranford, all of Fishersville, VA.
To our beloved mother and grandmother, we simply say "you are our sunshine our only sunshine, you make us happy when skies are gray, you'll never know dear how much we love you, please don't take our sunshine away..."
Visitation, 6 PM to 8 PM, Thursday, Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur and other times at the home of Ronnie and Jane Cranford, 6544 Roby Coe Rd., Ramseur.
