Juanita Sumner Poe, 67, of 7466 Richland Church Rd., Liberty, died Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.

Funeral Services, 3 PM, Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Bethany United Methodist Church, Staley.

Officiating, Rev. Sharon Quate.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She was a native of Richmond, Virginia, and worked in the insurance industry for twenty-five years, including for Nationwide Insurance in Siler City. Juanita enjoyed cooking, and she cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Juanita was a very kind, patient, and loving person. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles A. Sumner Sr., and Sylvia Carpenter Sumner, sister, Shirley Wilson, and brothers, Charles A. Sumner Jr., and Roy L. Sumner.

Survivors: husband, Roscoe T. Poe, of the home, sons, Kenneth T. Poe, Steven R. Poe, both of Liberty, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.

Visitation, 6 PM to 8 PM, Friday, Loflin Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ramseur and other times at the residence.
