John Walter Parker, 75, of Ramseur, died Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem.
Funeral Services, 3:00 PM, Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at Patterson Grove Christian Church, Ramseur.
Officiating, Rev. Steve House.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
Walter was a native of Orange County, attended Patterson Grove Christian Church, a veteran of the U.S. Army, and previously employed in engineering with EMC Power Company in Hillsbourgh. He was a lover of antique cars and had a special love for his children and grandchildren. He was also a member of Piedmont Pontiac Car Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Erskine and Ida Parker, brothers, Bobby Parker, Billy Parker, sister, Peggy Wynn.
Survivors: wife, Clara Kirkman Parker, of the home, daughter, Lisa Branch, and husband, Gene, of Mebane, step-daughters, Michele Rogers, Kelly Hooker, and husband, John, both of Ramseur, sister, Pauline Hicks, and husband, Donald, of Hillsbourgh, grandchildren, Tyler Branch, Ava Branch, step-grandchildren, Ethan Rogers, Emma Rogers, Joshua Hooker.
Visitation, 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Tuesday, Patterson Grove Christian Church, Ramseur.
