John Manley Briles, Jr., 72, of Ramseur, died Monday, December 31, 2018 at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation Center in Asheboro.
Funeral Services, 11:00 AM, Friday, January 4, 2019, at First Christian Church.
Officiating, Rev. Garry Arnett.
Burial, Sunset Knoll Cemetery, Ramseur with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
Manley was a native of Randolph County, formerly employed in sales with Southern Foods and also Dan Thomas Pontiac. He was a member of First Christian Church in Ramseur. Manley was a former Police and Fire Commissioner for the Town of Ramseur and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Manley Briles, Sr. and Pearl Henson Briles.
Survivors: wife, Josephine "Jo" Hemphill Briles, of the home, sons, John Manley Briles, III, and wife, Alison, of Asheboro, Justin Aaron Briles, and wife, Tyra, of Archdale, sisters, Elsie Reeder, of Greensboro, Mildred Nance, of Ramseur, brother, Wayne Briles, of Ramseur, grandchildren, Aaron Briles, Haley Briles, Mason Briles, Isla Briles.
Visitation, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, Loflin Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ramseur and other times at the residence.
