James Darrell Kivett, 52, of 1620 Low Bridge Rd, Liberty, died Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.
Funeral Services, 3 PM, Friday, at Whites Chapel United Methodist Church, Liberty.
Officiating, Pastor Jason Frank.
Darrell was a native of Randolph County and a 1985 graduate of Eastern Randolph High School. He was employed by Staley Plumbing and D & T Utilities for 29 years. Darrell loved his family and friends, hunting and fishing, and watching the movie Rocky and his favorite T.V. show, Bonanza. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charlie K. and Eula Mae Kivett, his maternal grandparents, John and Mozell Staley, son-in-law, Kevin Dale Brown, uncles, Harold Kivett, Wayne Kivett, Oscar Staley, Wesley Staley, and aunt, Kathleen Kivett Foust.
Survivors: significant other, Vickie Whittington, of the home, daughter, Tenesa Kivett Hurley, and husband, Randy, of Asheboro, son, James Ryan Kivett, and girlfriend, Lindsey Huffman, of Liberty, and mother of Tenesa and Ryan, Judy Kivett, father, James Arthur Kivett, and wife, Helen, of Liberty, and mother, Brenda Annie Staley, of Liberty, sister, Shelia Isom, and husband, Curtis, of Liberty, brother, Ronnie Garrett, of Red Cross, uncle, John Henry Kivett, and wife, Nancy, of Climax, Nancy York, Ricky and Diane Staley, Randy and Jill Staley, Benny and Katherine Staley, and Patty Staley, three nieces, one nephew, and numerous cousins.
