Harold Stephen "Steve" Siler, 77, of Ramseur, died peacefully Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at his home.

Memorial Graveside Services, 11 AM, Saturday, January 13, 2018, at Sunset Knoll Cemetery, Ramseur.

Steve was a native of Rockingham, and a lifelong resident of Randolph County. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a graduate of Guilford College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History. Steve worked briefly as a license examiner in North Wilksboro, then retired after 40 years of service as a supervisor with the Employment Security Commission in Asheboro. A "sun and fun" person, he spent many laugh filled days with sand under his feet on the coast of North Carolina. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie S. and Ruth Cooper Siler, brothers, Gladwyn Cooper, Conrad Lyndo Siler, sister, Molly Penor.

Survivors: sister and long time caregiver, Janet S. Booth, and husband, Bart, of Liberty, brother, Wayne "Nic" Siler, of Charlottesville, VA,  many nieces and nephews across the country.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Randolph County and a special thanks to CJ for all of her support.
