Hansel Rufus Needham, 88, of 2769 NC Hwy 42 S, Asheboro, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018 at his residence.

Funeral Services, 3 PM, Monday, November 5, 2018, at Antioch Christian Church, Seagrove.

Officiating, Rev. Bryan Maness, Rev. Brian Faircloth.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.

Hansel was a native of Randolph County and a member of Antioch Christian Church. He loved his family and was a good friend. Hansel was a veteran of the United States Army and served as a medical technician during the Korean War. He was a retired salesman with Sherwin-Williams Paint Company. Hansel was preceded in death by his parents, George and Rachel Hayes Needham, sisters, Moleta Staley, Emma Ritter, Mary Caviness, and Vera Asbill, brothers, Luther Needham, Brewster Needham, Kelly Needham, Edsel Needham, Amos Needham, Monroe Needham, and Joe Needham.

Survivors: wife, Ruby Needham, of the home, daughters, Teresa Needham, of Asheboro, Debroah Needham, and husband, Dennis Smith, of Asheboro, sister, Rosa Owens, of Seagrove, grandchildren, Caleb Symonds, and wife, Jessica, Joshua Needham, Cainan Needham, and Isaac Needham, sister-in-law, Nancy Needham, Lucy Needham, Billie Needham, brother-in-law, Floyd Caviness.

Visitation, 2 PM to 3 PM, Monday, Antioch Christian Church, Seagrove and other times at the residence.
