Francis Birka Obituary

Francis Edward Birka, 87, of Pittsboro, died Monday, May 21, 2018 at The Laurels of Chatham in Pittsboro.

Memorial service will be held at a later date.

Francis Edward was a native of Birmingham, MI and grew up in Detroit, MI. He was comptroller at American Brakeblok, C.O.O. at Tuffy Service Centers Inc., and comptroller at Midas of Canada. Francis and his wife Mary were avid travelers and enjoyed their retirement years living in Farrington Village. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Peter and Eveleen Finerty Birka, and brother, John Birka.

Survivors: wife, Mary Way Birka, sister, Mary Birka McCann, of Royal Oak, MI, brother, Phillip Birka, of Dallas, TX.
