Doris Herrin Brown, 83, of Asheboro, NC, died Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Clapps Convalescent Nursing Home in Asheboro.

Funeral Services, 3:00 PM, Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Deep River Baptist Church, Ramseur.

Officiating, Rev. Boyd Jackson.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Doris was a native of Guilford County and a lifetime resident of Randolph County. She was a 1952 graduate of Coleridge High School, a retired textile seamstress, and a member of the Deep River Baptist Church. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Brown, parents, William Terry and Flossie Phillips Herrin, son, William Russell Brown, brother, Lee Herrin, sisters, Faye Teague, Mozelle Garner.

Survivors: daughter, Tammie Brown Johnson, of Asheboro, Kim Sumner, and husband Chris, of Asheboro, son, Robert Stanley Brown, of Burgaw, sisters, Bettie Hinshaw, of Carolina Beach, Carol Lee, and husband Ronald, of Myrtle Beach, Brenda Goodwin, and husband Reggie, of Cary, brother, David Herrin, and wife Dawn, of Laurinburg, grandchildren, Robert S. Brown, Jr., Jason Brown, Amy Brown, McLeod Brown, Jared Johnson, Kaysi Johnson, Lynsi Johnson, Zach Schwarz, Maxx Sumner, Emily Sumner, great-grandchildren, Canaan Covington, Gavin Brown, Sophia Brown.

Visitation, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, Loflin Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ramseur, and other times at the residence.
