Charles Melvin Hicks, 81, of Staley, NC, died Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.
Funeral Services, 3:00 PM, Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at Shady Grove Baptist Church, Staley.
Officiating, Rev. Bobby Gettys.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Charles was a native of Randolph County and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. He retired from Randolph Telephone Company with 39 years of loyal service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eula Williams Hicks, parents, Hillery and Edith Turner Hicks, sister, Barbara Gee.
Survivors: daughters, Debbie Cox, of Ramseur, Rhonda Evans, and husband, Randy, of Asheboro, sons, Doug Hicks, and wife Wanda, of Ramseur, Darrell Hicks, and wife, Tamra, of Advance, brother, Alden Hicks, and wife, Ann, of Farmville, VA., grandchildren, Stephanie, and husband, Greg, Wesley, and wife, Brittany, Matthew, Hillary, Christopher, Morgan, William, great-grandchildren, Brody, Turner, Easton, Anniston.
The family will receive friends following the service in the Family Life Center and other times at the residence.
