Carlton Britt Allen, Sr., 99, of Ramseur, died Friday, February 9, 2018 after a brief illness at Clapps Convalescent Nursing Home in Asheboro.

Funeral Services, 2:00 PM, Monday, February 12, 2018, at Loflin Funeral Home Chapel, Ramseur.

Officiating, Rev. Adam Bettingfield.

Burial, Sunset Knoll Cemetery, Ramseur with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.

Britt was a native of Lee County, retired from Ramseur Interlock and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife, Aline Allen and his parents, Bennett and Rita Sheffield Allen.

Survivors: daughter, Diane Pickett, and husband, Butch, of Burlington, sons, Mike Allen, and wife, Kathy, of Asheboro, Carlton Allen, Jr., and wife, Karen, of Ramseur, grandchildren, John Pickett, and wife, Sasha, of Nashville, TN., Amy Soyars, and husband, Jason, of Burlington, Traci Johns, and husband, Jim, of Indian Trails, NC, Adrienne Tolbert, and husband, Jason, of Asheboro, Brandon Allen, of Asheboro, eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation, 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Monday, Loflin Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ramseur.
