Bill "Red" York, 81, of 4045 Jones St. Extension, Franklinville, died Thursday, December 14, 2017 at his residence.
Memorial Services, 2 PM, Monday, December 18, 2017, at Sunset Avenue Church of God, Asheboro.
Officiating, Rev. Boyd Byerly.
Burial, Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
Bill was a native of Randolph County, formerly employed with Ramtex, and retired as a truck driver with Old Dominion Freight Line. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Sunset Avenue Church of God. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Lucille Stout York and his brother, Donald York.
Survivors: wife, Hazel York, of the home, son, Terry York, of Beaufort, SC, daughter, Lynne Owens, and husband, Byron, of Asheboro, sister, Nancy Saunders, and husband, Roger, of Asheboro, brother, Jack York, and wife, Marlene, of McLeansville, grandchildren, Sarah York, of Hilton Head Island, SC, Victoria Owens, Matthew Owens, Elizabeth Owens, all of Asheboro, great-grandchild, Rosalie Spangler, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation, 1 PM to 2 PM, Monday, Sunset Avenue Church of God, Asheboro and other times at the residence.
