Betty Jo Stout Leonard, 83, of Ramseur, died Saturday, June 22, 2019 at her residence.

Memorial Services, 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at Jordan Memorial United Methodist Church, Ramseur.

Officiating, Rev. Josh Kurtz.

Burial, Sunset Knoll Cemetery, Ramseur.

Betty Jo was a native of Randolph County, a graduate of Ramseur High School, and attended Asheboro Business School. She retired as Office Manager with Briles Oil Company in Ramseur, and was a member of Jordan Memorial United Methodist Church where she was active in the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Woodland Garden Club in Ramseur, and served as a board member for the Ramseur Library, Fidelity Bank, and First Citizens Bank. She was preceded in death by her husband, Shelley E. "Tony" Leonard, Jr., and parents, Penn and Thelma Stokes Stout.

Survivors: brother, Robert T. "Bob" Stout, of Ramseur, , niece, Johanna S. Wilson, and husband, Jeff, of North Myrtle Beach, great niece and nephew, Anna Penn Wilson, and John Robert Wilson, both of North Myrtle Beach, cousins, Pam Coward, and husband, Thomas, of Ramseur, Jo Lynne Stout Allen, of Ramseur, Bill Stout, and friend, Claudia, of Greensboro, Diane Smith, and husband, Joe, of Bear Creek, Ricky Stout, and wife, Pam, of Asheboro, Todd Stout, and wife, Angie, of Ramseur, and other cousins, god son, John Ellis, of Salisbury.

The family would also like to thank Irene Ritter, Tammy Stout, Brittany Stout, Haley Ledbetter, and Mariela Valencia Guzman, whose care and compassion gave dignity and peace to her final days.

The family will receive friends at the home of Bob Stout, 739 Coleridge Road, Ramseur.
