Mary Aileen Kivett Gilliland, 96, of Ramseur, died Friday, August 30, 2019 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.
Funeral Services, 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at Jordan Memorial United Methodist Church, Ramseur.
Officiating, Rev. Charles Lindquist, Rev. Rob Roberts.
Burial, Sunset Knoll Cemetery, Ramseur.
Aileen was a native of Randolph County, a member of Jordan Memorial UMC, and a member of United Methodist Women, serving several years as Circle Chairman of her circle. She retired with twenty one years as cafeteria manager at Ramseur Elementary School. Her favorite past time was baking caramel pound cake and mowing her lawn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Ray Gilliland, parents, Exton and Sonda York Kivett, daughter, Debra Ann Gilliland, and brother, Ken Kivett.
Survivors: daughters, Crandall Ellison, and husband, Larry, of Ramseur, Clara Vandiford, and husband, Tom, of Macon, grandchild, Barry Ellison, and wife, Elizabeth, of Greensboro, great-grandchildren, Megan and Zach Ellison, sisters-in-law, Iris Jones Kivett, Della Gilliland Smith, Aunt, Christine Moffitt Kivett, and her best friend at North Point, Ruth McCrickard.
