Nancy Curtis Williams

Nancy Curtis Williams, 86, of Wilkesboro, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Wilkes Medical Center in North Wilkesboro.

In honor of Nancy's request, no formal services will be held. She will be laid to rest along with her family at Sunset Knoll Cemetery in Ramseur, NC.

Nancy was born and raised in Ramseur and was a longtime resident of Wilkesboro. She loved her cats, possum and her little dog "Dolly". Nancy enjoyed being outdoors and watching the deer as they would often pass through her yard. She retired as a switch board operator from Lowes Food after 45 years of service to her community. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Williams, parents, Vernon E. and Ilene Duncan Curtis, and brothers, Glenn and Roy Curtis.

Survivors: neighbors and good friends,  Martha Bauguess, Jean Messick, Johnny, Sharon and Adam Sturgill, who were all instrumental in helping Nancy with shopping or whatever her needs were over the last few years.

Nancy's friends would like to extend a special "thank you" to Stephanie Proctor, the staff, nurses and CNA's that have cared for her at Ridge Valley Nursing Center. They would also like to acknowledge the doctors, nurses and CNA's at Atrium Health in North Wilkesboro for the love and care she was shown while in the hospital.
