Mary-Ellen Russ Wiechel, 63, of Asheboro, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
Mary was born in Orange County and was a longtime resident of Randolph County. She was a member of The Journey Church in Siler City and previously worked as a waitress at Pizza Hut in Asheboro. Mary had a love for people and was a "mother" to everyone she met. She enjoyed keeping up with the latest "Soaps", playing games on the computer and drinking coffee. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, William Russ and Ellen Robinson Russ-Bennett, and sister, Carolyn Laughlin.
Survivors: husband of 45 years, Terrance "Terry" Wiechel Sr., of the home, children, Terrance Wiechel, Jr., Melinda-Ellen Wiechel Hallman, Matthew Eric Wiechel, all of Asheboro, sister, Tammy Bennett, of Asheboro, grandchildren, Alana-Marie Grace Wiechel, Kevin Dale Hallman, Jr., Aleah Grace Honeycutt, Daye Honeycutt Jackson, Andrew William Hallman, Toby Honeycutt, Reese Stockwell, Lincoln Stockwell, Logan-Eli Gene Hallman, great-grandchildren, Daisie-Mae Ponce, Brenden James Hallman, Zander Ellis, Kinsleigh Jackson, Vaida Honeycutt, Wesley Honeycutt, lifelong friends, Joe and Janice Kincaid, and her beloved pets, Coffee and CK "Coffee's Kitty".
