Van William Workman, 82, of 320 West 5th Ave, Lexington, died Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Avante at Thomasville.

Graveside Services, 11:00 AM, Monday, May 15, 2017, at Oakwood Cemetery, High Point.

Officiating, Rev. Raleigh Hayden.

Van was a native of Moore County and was the owner of an Alarm and Maintenance Service. He was a former train engineer, a radio announcer for WMFR and WHPE in High Point and a former Funeral Director with Piedmont Funeral Home.   He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Workman, his parents, Ivey and Minie Grubb Workman, and his sons, Terry Thomas Workman and Ricky Workman.

Survivors: sons, Earl McCracken, William McCracken, both of High Point.
