Steven Brent Kidd, 59, of Asheboro, died Friday, March 31, 2017 at his residence.

Funeral Services, 3:00 PM, Monday, April 3, 2017, at Loflin Funeral Home Chapel, Ramseur.

Officiating, Dr. J. W. Kelley.

Burial, Maple Springs United Methodist Church, Ramseur.

Brent was a native of Randolph County, a graduate of ERSHS, Sandhills Community College, Randolph Community College, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Pfeiffer University in Misenheimer.  Brent fought a long and courageous battle against cancer and was strong to the end.  He was a former employee of Black and Decker and Dillards in Asheboro.  Most recently he was employed as a Financial Aid Associate and a V.A. Certifying Official at Randolph Community College. Brent was preceded in death by parents, Norman and Lou Elma Brown Kidd, of Coleridge, and his brother, Michael Kidd, of Asheboro.

Survivors: immediate family, brothers, Darrell Kidd, of Efland, and Mark Kidd, of Coleridge.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to Cathy Aikens for her unwavering friendship. Also the family would like to thank Dr. Michael Batalo at Pinehurst Cancer Center and nurse, Susan Bazinet for their care.
