Shelley E. "Tony"  Leonard, Jr., 89, of 707 Coleridge Rd., Ramseur, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2016 after an extended illness at his residence.

Memorial Services, 3:00 PM, Friday, August 26, 2016, at Jordan Memorial United Methodist Church, Ramseur.

Officiating, Rev. Joshua Kurtz.

Burial will follow at Sunset Knoll Cemetery.

Tony was a native of Randolph County and a member of Jordan Memorial United Methodist Church.  He served two years in the US Marines during the Korean conflict and attended NC State College studying Mechanical Engineering.  He was self employed in Leonard Automotive.  Tony was very interested in the Town of Ramseur and served 25 years on the Town Planning Board. He was preceded in death by his parents, Shelley E. and Anna Reynolds Leonard, and his brother, Alan Hayworth Leonard.

Survivors: wife of 58 years, Betty Stout Leonard, of the home, brother-in-law, Robert T. "Bob" Stout, of Ramseur, niece, Johanna S. Wilson, and husband, Jeffrey R., of North Myrtle Beach, great niece and nephew, Anna Penn-Morgan Wilson, and John Robert Wilson.

The family wishes to express a special thank you to Tammy Stout, Veronica Cheek, and Hospice of Randolph County for their care and support.

The family will receive family and friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
