Robert Lee Williamson, 89, devoted father and grandfather, of Asheboro, died Monday, January 16, 2017 at Woodland Hill Care & Rehabilitation in Asheboro.

Memorial Services, 3:00 PM, Friday, January 20, 2017, at Loflin Funeral Home Chapel, Ramseur with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.

Officiating, Rev. Tony Fletcher.

Robert was a native of Randolph County, retired from Brady Lumber Company, a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII, and attended Concord United Methodist Church.  He loved the Lord, his children, and his grandchildren.  He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman who enjoyed skeet shooting.  Robert also loved dogs, farming, and cheering for the Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Braves.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Hilda Griffin Williamson, his second wife, Magdalene York Williamson, parents, Archie Lee and Maggie McCoy Williamson, and sister, Annie Williamson Payne.

Survivors: daughters, Vickie Ward, and husband, Mike, of Elizabeth City, Robin Williamson, of Liberty, Janet Melvin, of Sophia, son, Rickie Williamson, of Asheboro, and fiancee, Lisa Hill , sister, Mary Ellen Thompson, of Greensboro, brother, Floyd Williamson, of Ramseur, seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren.

Visitation, 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Friday, Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur and other times at the home of Rickie and Lisa Williamson, 929 Old Liberty Rd., Asheboro.
