Richard Lee Thompson, 55, of 3656 Pine Lakes Drive, Asheboro, died Friday, August 25, 2017 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.

Memorial Services, 3:00 PM, Sunday, September 3, 2017, at Landmark Baptist Church, 2816 Spoons Chapel Rd., Asheboro.

Officiating, Rev. Frank Barrett, Rev. Boyd Jackson.

Richard was a native of Randolph County, employed in the building construction business and attended Landmark Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Colvin and Betty Hill Thompson, and brothers, Billy Ray Thompson and Charles Thompson, sister, Linda Marley.

Survivors: sister, Brenda Cockman, and husband, Rick, of Ramseur, nieces, Teresa Knight, Tammy Lovin, Crystal Thompson, Christy Johnson, nephews, Hugh Marley, Jeff Marley, Nathan Cockman, John Simmons, Richard Shipes, 8 great nieces and nephews, including one special great niece, Haley Bug, special friends, Jerry and Jeannie Bratcher, of Kentucky, and J. R. Pemberton, of Asheboro.

Visitation, 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday, Landmark Baptist Church, Asheboro and other times at the residence.
