Ramona was a native of Detroit, MI and formerly employed with Jiffy Tax Service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Raymond and Lois Jean Counts Garrett, son, Michael Garrett, granddaughter, Keayra Anders, grandson, Ayden Penley, sisters, Ella Bray, Gloria Garrett, brothers, Kenneth Garrett, Charles Eugene Garrett

Survivors: husband, James Penley, daughters, Jamie Penley, and husband, Andrew, of Staley, Mindy Garfias-Lara, and husband, Leon, of Staley, sister, Jeanetta Gutierrez-Ortega, and husband, Cecilio, of Staley, brother, John Rodney Hunsucker, of Staley, grandchildren, Kaylea "Gertie" Anders, Christian Garfias-Lara, Tomas Garfias-Lara, all of Staley.
