Myrtle Morton Morris, 94, of Franklinville, died Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.

Graveside Services, 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 26, 2016, at Sunset Knoll Cemetery, Ramseur.

Officiating, Rev. Eddie Hill, Rev. Steven Cox.

Myrtle was a native of Stanly County but she moved to Montgomery County and then to Randolph County where she spent most of her adult life.  She worked in the textile industry and later was a homemaker and attended First Baptist Church in Franklinville.  She enjoyed canning, gardening, fishing, and preparing meals for family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Freeman Edward Morris, son, Charles Morris, parents, Frank W. and Morning Lemons Morton, three brothers and one sister.

Survivors: daughters, Shelby Poole, Cinda Roberts, both of Troy, son, Bill Morris, of Franklinville, sisters, Lottie Earnhardt, Josephine Morton, Sara Tyndall, all of Troy, brothers, Foy Morton, of Asheboro, Pink Morton, Jerry Morton, both of Troy, twelve grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren.
