Margaret Gilbert Caveness, 95, of 6083 Troy Caveness Rd., Ramseur, died Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.

Funeral Services, 11 AM, Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at Parks Crossroads Christian Church, Ramseur.

Officiating, Rev. Randy Kelley, Rev. James Turner.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Margaret was a native of Chatham County. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a homemaker and worked tirelessly on the family farm. Margaret's life revolved around her Lord and Savior, her family, and her home. Margaret was a member of Parks Crossroad Christian Church, The Gideons International Chatham County Camp, Eastern Star and the Ladies Missionary Society.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Edwin Caveness, son, Gene Caveness, parents, Lamar Monroe and Olive Perry Gilbert, brother, Paul Gilbert, sister, Edith Hearn.

Survivors: sons, Hal Caveness, and wife, Julie, of Wilkesboro, Phil Caveness, and wife, Nancy, of Ramseur, daughters, Sandra Thompson, and husband, Mark, of Eden, Celeste Clark, and husband, Mark, of Emmalena, KY, daughter-in-law, Mamie Caveness, of Kingsport, TN, sister, Clara Harris, of Mt Airy, thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation, 9 AM to 10:45 AM, Wednesday, Parks Crossroads Christian Church, Ramseur and other times at the residence.
